“Il Castagneto” is situated in Villafranca in Lunigiana, province of Massa Carrara. This is the ideal place to relax under the shadow of centuries-old chestnut trees, far from the traffic or the hectic coastline. The beaches are only 30 minutes away.

From here you can discover the valley of Lunigiana with its many middle age castles, characteristic hamlets, ancient traditions and local products; go trekking in the nearby National Park of the Apennines or Regional Park of the Apuan Alps or visit the renowned Gulf of the Poets and the Cinque Terre (train connection from Villafranca).

Entirely family run, the camp site has been opened since 1978 and during these years the owner has created a little paradise which has its key points in the nature, peace, safety and cleanliness.

Seen from the outside, it seems a well-groomed park. Flowers, hedges and beautiful colours as well as the lights of the swimming pools and of the football pitch, the wide lawns shadowed by the several chestnut trees. It is a really unique place where you can enjoy the nature in total relax, but with all the comfort you need.
