La Concia

For those seeking peace, space, nature and culture
La Concia is an old rustic farmhouse in eastern Lunigiana surrounded by olive groves with breathtaking views of the majestic Apuan Alps and the historic village of Codiponte. Originally the house was a "Tower House," expanded and strengthened over the centuries to include a portal giving access to a courtyard. The grounds included an oil mill and a "Tannery" for silkworm farming, eventually becoming a feudal farm owned by a local noble family. The house still retains traces of its long history, lovingly preserved and restored by the current owners. La Concia is run by an Italian-Dutch family who also live in the house-David, Maartje and their daughter Beatrice.
