Pontremoli to Taste

Pontremoli to Taste

amor di Pontremoli

A 'unique sensory experience that will take B&B guests on a discovery of typical Lunigiana dishes

Ihe food and historical tour with Sigeric begins in the city center of Pontremoli, in the shadow of medieval towers and the dome of the cathedral.

The heart of the city is represented by the two squares of the Duomo and the Repubblica, formerly united and separated in the 14th century by a curtain wall known as the Cacciaguerra Fortress, of which the main tower known as Il Campanone remains today. Here we find numerous establishments and old historic pastry shops, true custodians of the renowned Pontremolese confectionery tradition.

The perfect place to taste some Lunigiana pastry delicacies whose recipes are still top secret!

We continue our journey with a visit to the historic center of Pontremoli, along the ancient Via Francigena, once traveled by pilgrims, merchants and men at arms. After a stop at the splendid Co-Cathedral of S. Maria Assunta, a masterpiece of Pontremolese Baroque, we resume our itinerary in town to immerse ourselves in the charming streets of the village and then conclude with an aperitif-tasting in which to discover some of the excellence of Lunigiana cuisine.
