Medievalis Pontremoli 2025

Medievalis, has its heart in the historical re-enactment of the granting of the diploma of Free Commune to the Community of Pontremoli in 1226 byEmperor Frederick II, who called the village “clavis et ianua” (key and door) of communications between Lombardy and Tuscany.

It is to remind us of all this that during the event, Pontremoli will be transformed into a town of another era: for four days cars will be banned from the historic center to make way for travelers, merchants, carriages and knights. Lots of figures will be engaged to represent the medieval social classes: clergy, nobility, military, courtiers, peasants will be the focus of all the outsiders and tourists who will be in Pontremoli during those days.
